1. Handheld steamer

Forget the days of ironing. A handheld steamer is a fast and foolproof way to eliminate wrinkles and freshen up your blazer or button-down for that on-campus interview.

2. Laundry bag

Nothing will make you feel more like an adult than doing your own laundry. Make it easier to get to the campus laundromat with a hamper backpack like this one.

3. First-aid kit

Pack a mini first-aid kit with ibuprofen, bandages, cold medicine, allergy medicine, antibiotic ointment, tweezers, nail clippers, and any other essentials. Better safe than sorry.

4. Alarm clock

Pick up a small, old-fashioned alarm clock as a backup to your phone alarm. Trust us: You don’t want your phone (and only alarm) to die the morning of your poli sci final exam.

5. Bluetooth speaker

Pump up the jams (during non-quiet hours, of course) with a Bluetooth speaker that can easily move from your dorm room to the quad.

6. Invisible aligners

Pack your full set of invisible aligners in their handy blurple box to ensure you’re ready to change into a new set according to schedule. Keep your invisible aligner case with you wherever you go. The last thing you want is to be caught unprepared in the community bathroom when you need to remove them.

7. Extra cosmetic bag or Dopp kit

You’ll need this to stash all your invisible aligner essentials when away at school.

8. Baking soda

Baking soda can be used for pretty much anything, from brightening up white sneaks to cleaning your new dorm room or apartment. You can also use it to clean your invisible aligners. Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with ½ cup water and soak your aligners for 30 minutes.

9. Flossers

Individual flossers are portable and help remove any food left in your teeth before you put your aligners back in when you’re running late to class. Stash a pack in your invisible aligner care kit and get ready to amaze your friends with your dental hygiene routine.

10. Outie tool and Chewies

The Outie tool will help you quickly and easily remove your invisible aligners. Chewies, which look like little white Tootsie Rolls, come in every box of invisible aligners. Chew them like a piece of gum to help your aligners fit better and to alleviate any potential pain.

11. bright on whitening

Don’t forget to get your bright on! Apply your bright on whitening twice a day for a week, so your pearly whites will be ready for rush, formals, interviews, you name it. You’ll have whiter teeth by Thanksgiving break.
